CPE

• Good resistance to oils, fuels, coolants, and many chemicals
• High flexibility and easy to install (especially in tight spaces)
• Moderate temperature range (typically up to ~150 °C / 300 °F)
• More affordable
• Best for general-purpose automotive, industrial, and marine use (fuel, oil, coolant lines)

PTFE

• Excellent chemical resistance (compatible with almost any fluid, including aggressive solvents, ethanol/methanol, etc.)
• Very wide temperature range (typically –65 °C to +260 °C / –85 °F to +500 °F)
• Higher pressure ratings and better permeation resistance (less “bleed-through” smell)
• Less flexible and more expensive
• Preferred for high-performance, corrosive, extreme-temperature, or hygienic applications

Quick selection guide

• Choose CPE when you need flexibility + cost-effectiveness for moderate conditions.
• Choose PTFE when you need maximum chemical/temperature resistance or zero permeation.
